Youve got to be kidding me! When was the last time a fan publication was 
sued for a bad review? [let alone offered one?] 
Most of the rail texts Ive seen of late don't really have that much to 
review--there's no real reading involved, as what we're talking about 
[for the most part] are picture books. The roughest thing I've heard of 
late is that the layout was a little off, or there weren't enough maps 
included. It goes without saying that when someone produces one of these 
things, usually retailing at the $50 and above range, they're going to 
include photos from competent sources. Given that, there really isn't 
all that much left to critique, as most of the text is in the form of 
captions.
There are exceptions of course. A few books a year come out from 
university or more main stream presses--such as Malone's Hill biography. 
I suspect interest in more scholarly tomes like these is a bit less than 
a new book on the last clean warbonnet shots ever taken.
