Anyone who might be planning shooting trips to Tehachapi, Cajon Pass,
BNSF's Needles Subdivision or anywhere on the BNSF between Needles and
Albuquerque...listen up.

While the DeLorme maps have become standard equipment for most serious
photographers, there are several excellent fold-up maps available that
cover these areas. And, they're free, if you're an AAA member. The Auto
Club of Southern California's county maps of San Bernardino and
Riverside counties in California are great railfanning maps because they
show railroads, roads and even show most siding names on the railroads!
And they fit in your camera bag.

The AAA map titled Indian Country is the same format, same railroad
detail, and is a boon to anyone chasing trains in the southwest.

OK, if you're out of state and your auto club doesn't have any of these
maps on hand, contact me and I'll get you some, since the AAA opened a
new office right down the street from my house! Drop me an e-mail note.
