1. Jim Boyd's _Illlinois Central Monday Mornin' Rails_ Great photos and great text! A real joy to read. 2. Ted Benson's _Echoes down the Canyon_ The kind of photos I wish I could take. Exquisite layout and reproduction. 3. (Tie) Fred Hyde's MILW book and Dale Sanders' DRGW book, both from Hyrail. Stunning photos with intelligent captions. FWIW, I own six feet of railroad books and another three feet of traction books. Multiply that by $50 an inch, but don't tell me what the answer is.
