To which Warren replies. . . I remember this issue for one reason. In the little teaser box on the table of contents page, DPM said something like: "We're not sure how our readers in Podunk, Maine or Topeka, Kansas will respond to an all-Nevada issue. . . ." I was living in Topeka, Kansas at the time, and the city was famous for the little, old lady who got "Midasized" there. I think it was the late 1970's. >If you have not seen >it I suggest you hunt down a copy. I have all _Trains_ issues back to 1967, so if Gary will kindly post the month and year, I would like to drool over my copy. (I'll put it in a zip-lock bag first. :-) ) Later, Warren P.S. Another great Benson piece in _Trains_ was his two-issue interview of ( ) "On-Time" Tyner, an Espee engineer of the steam era. Ted won a prestigeous award for it. I believe it was published about 1982 or 1983. Anyone know? Guess I should have bought the CD-ROM index of _Trains_. --> SPORRS: Serious Photographers of Railroad Related Subjects X-Mozilla-Status: 0011 Content-Length: 3237
