Greetings: I am pleased to inform you that itchy is once again alive and well. Thanks to everyone for not posting while itchy was down. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please resume normal use of the lists. As long as I am sending out this notice, now would be a good time to review a couple of minor issues of 'net manners'.
When posting, remember, everyone who subscribes to the list WILL get a copy of your message. Therefore, there is never any need to copy (CC) the message to a list subscriber. If you do, this person will receive two copies of your message, which can be confusing and annoying. Also, IF you reply to a post, and decide to include a quote from the original post, PLEASE edit out ALL the text except that which is absolutely necessary for clarity. It is very wasteful to quote a 100 line message and then add a 1 line comment. Finally, if you have forgotten how to use the lists, please send a message to: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' with the word 'help' in the body of your message. This will get you a list of all server commands. For info on a specific list, put the words 'info LIST' in the body of your message, where LIST is replaced by the name of the list you want info about. Thanks for your support of the lists. I trust the server problem is fixed and this will (hopefully) not happen again. Enjoy!
