Interesting conversation going on concerning program background music. Sounds like the old "full sun versus adverse weather" argument, "Kodachrome versus the world", etc. And, everyone has an opinion. I have 2 cents. "Good" programs can be any length, with or without any music, popular, country or unknown, with any combination of views, from anywhere at all! There'll always be good programs, (thanks to those of you that take the time to develop one!), and there'll always be the "other" programs, that make the good ones appear to be that much better. A practical question to ponder. How do you limit the time allocation for the "other" programs? This conversation on programs has given me a great deal of ideas to think about.
