I realize that we have just about beaten this topic to death. So with this short post, I will drop the subject.
Dave Busse apparently heard something similar to the rumor about Canon's new AF camera with more than 5 focusing spots. As fast as photographic technology is advancing, I wonder how far away might be this idea? Instead of multiple focusing spots that are selected manually or by looking at a specific one, how about a "focusing zone" within the viewfinder where the camera user controls a moving cursor (spot) that tracks the subject? The moving cursor would always default to the center unless activated.
