Hey all,
All you Western Photographers: When you photograph Amtrak's ex ATSF
Hi-Level cars, do your finished images sometimes have a wierd circular
effect to them. I have an example that I can forward to anyone who wants
to see this effect, plus I just saw it in a picture of a model Hi-Level.
Apparently the corrugations reflect light a certain way and make it
appear as an optical illusion that there are circular "lines" on the
car. I'm sorry I can't explain it in more detail, but the effect gets
mighty annoying. I've never experienced this effect on any other
passenger car, corrugated or non.
If you know why this happens, any word on how to correct the problem?
Thanks!
