Bill Miller's message about units being wrecked also hit home with me, the one that comes to mind is CN SD60F 5514, wrecked and burned in 1993. It was the only one to have eluded me at that time. I have since received, from a friend, a print of the burned out hulk sitting in Transcona (Winnipeg).
Another one is the first train I shot in the Marias Pass area years ago was led by 6330, the SD40-2 Cat conversion. I remember thinking, this is a good start, getting a roster unique unit the first day shooting on the BN. Funny thing is, I have never seen it since. Season's greetings to all from the Great *Brown* North! (No White this year thanks to El Nino).
