Tired of copyright discussion? How about bringing up the sore subject of one Stuart Maher of Garden City, NY., an out-and-out THIEF. He has original slides from me, Joe McMillan and Dan Schroeder among others for a book project that never materialized...and he won't return the stuff, nor tell anybody where the stuff is. He refuses to answer phone calls, registered mail, etc., and hides behind his 93-year-old MOTHER (with whom he lives, of course) when you call him on the phone.
I won't bore you with details. If you know the guy, (he reportedly works in on-board services for Amtrak) tell him I'm gonna track him down sooner or later. If this guy Mr. Gardner is from New Jersey as Tom Trencansky suggests, that explains a lot right there. Across the Hudson in New York, there's an honest-to-goodness thief named Stuart Maher. And he probably wouldn't have any idea of the issues we are discussing on this list. Nor would he understand the thievery.
