Also, when you send mail to the list and you also send a CC: (Carbon Copy) to the list subscriber that posted it, you are sending them two identical copies addressed exactly the same way. This doubles the amount of mail in their mailbox, and it's not really necessary. Since the SPORRS web site input (feedback) and support has tapered off so much, I am considering going to just one monthly update for the slide submissions and eliminating some pages for convenience. I may still be able to upload provided digital files more frequently if I have the time and you sent them to me with the correct specs. When you send in slides and files for the web site, please provide caption information and make sure that your name is on each slide mount. If you have a browser viewing problem with any of the SPORRS web site pages, I need to know about it in order to fix it. If you don't tell me that something isn't displaying right on your screen, then you are going to get what I give you. If you spot a problem or a dead link, I would appreciate it if you would send me a mail so I can correct it. My E-mail links are all over the site pages (or click on Webmaster on the bottom of the page). Records Update Note: To update my records, I need each SPORRS mailing list subscriber's name to match to their E-mail address in my file. I have most, and I require it on all new subscriptions, but some of you need to send me this info. Please include your name on each post that you send to the list so we know who we are replying to. Setting your mailer with your name in it is also preferable. If you find someday that your address has been dropped from the mailing list, this may be because I had no record of who you were. If you send me slides with your name on them, but you subscribed to the SPORRS mailing list with a cryptic address and your name is not set in your mailer and I do not have your name in my records to match your E-mail address with, then I cannot contact you about them if I have a question, and you will probably get them back unused in that event.
