I think all of the suggestions are very good.My only question is where are you people going,to the moon?You cannot railfan anywhere if you don't have the three basics.Camera.film and something to drink.I don't recall that water was ever mentioned. Not all trips require the total list,however decide(plan)on what you are going to do and use the list to choose from. Like JC, I use more safety gear if I'm in a shop area than when I'm out in some remote location. Thanks for letting me add my comments. Joseph Oates from FL.
