In a message dated 98-02-14 03:34:17 EST, you write: << John Corns makes some very valid points. Railroads, as an institution, are reacting about the same as you would to a stranger standing in the hedge with a lens aimed through your picture window. >>
No...John Corns simply lashed out in general like the dog in the manger (as in I can get photos ...you cant). There are ways to get permission to go on property for legitamate reasons and get those photos. In fact I have an article on Dan Dawdy's web site giving some advice about how to secure permission. There was a note earlier asking that more experienced photographers sort of proctor the new ones learning the hobby...this premise allows a teaching of responsibility, safety, and how to get your photos with permission. Rather than castigating it would be more instructive to write a note on how it should be done. -> SPORRS: Serious Photographers of Railroad Related Subjects -> Web Site: http://www.anet-stl.com/acphotog/sporrs -> Message © SPORRS® 1998 - All Rights Reserved
