Okay, since this list is geared toward railfan photography, here's
something.

Back in 1994, my friend James Reeves and I went on a one-day railfanning
trip to Binghamton, NY, with a Railpace railfanning guide on locations
and directions thereto.

We stopped at the ex-Lackawanna Binghamton station, where we saw and
photographed a set of CP Rail diesels, which included some vintage MLW
power. Also in this consist was an ex-KCS six-motor unit with "CP Rail"
in red--sorta like a negative of the usual scheme. (Unfortunately, I
don't know the unit number off the top of my head.) Because it was so
unusual, I took a picture of it.

While sorting the slides after their return from the lab, I ran across
that ex-KCS unit. A careful look at the image revealed how certain
shadows present at that location framed the subject--and the kicker was
that I never consciously planned the shot that way! Thus, I refer to it
as my "accidental framing," because I merely took the shot without
planning other compositional elements that appeared.

Talk about dumb luck! :)
