Hey Everybody,

I've been on the SPORRS list for a relatively short time, but I have to say
that I thouroughly enjoy the list and it's really been interesting, and
entertaining, to read the postings from everyone. I've learned a great deal
from the various postings on technical subjects, and I believe they've really
helped my photography. For this, I sincerely say "Thank You" to Dave for
sponsoring the SPORRS list and to all of you for your postings.

One of the most important aspects of the SPORRS list is that it brings
together railroad photographers of all experience and talent levels and
provides a forum to exchange thoughts, information and opinions related to
railroad photography. I don't always agree with all of the views expressed in
all of the sporrs postings, but I usually find something in every posting that
has some value.

To some photographers, success means getting published. To others, it means
getting technically excellent, eye-pleasing compositions "out on the road".
Many find pleasure in documenting rolling stock and locomotives through roster
shots. I think that railroad photography includes all of these aspects, and
it's what makes our hobby truly unique. While we may disagree on the methods
and practices used by various photographers, I think we all understand that
the many aspects of our hobby is what makes it interesting. It certainly
would be a dull hobby if there wasn't some variety to keep it interesting.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,

Danny
