Every December except one in the last eleven years. Usually a few days in a row of walking and climbing up and down hills and rocks on Sherman Hill, Rock River or Walcott. If you dress for it and don't leave your hands exposed too long, it's not too bad, and it sure beats the scenery (and the permanent cloud cover) here around St. Louis. The sun is at the best angle for all day shooting out there in December. No harsh light or haze, and all of the rattlesnakes are hibernating or frozen.
