Thank you to everyone who posted a reply about my Provia 400 inquiry. I just picked up the processed film from my lab and you were right, the grain is incredible. However, I am shooting on medium-format film (120), and the projected slides should look OK.
The color and contrast on exposures taken under overcast skies were very good. Full-sun exposures seemed a bit overexposed, and I might close down 1/2 stop next time. From a roll of fifteen exposures, I got six "keepers", which is very good for me. Action was Amtrak and Metro North at high speeds along the east shore of the Hudson River.
