I'm tempted to run up north around Ft Madison-Burlington Iowa (60
mile radius) for train pictures sometime between tomarrow and the end of
the weekend. The goal here is to shoot BNSF stuff in a snowy
winterscape. Any info on what the last storm did in this region
(heaviest snow belt) would be appreciated. An alternative plan might be
to drive north to Ft Madison for morning shots and then drift west
towards Ethyl, MO; during the mid-day lull. Afternoon shots at the truss
bridge west of Ethyl (i.e., Dave's stump forest).
This forum could also be used to flush out other SPORRS
members who may want to join a day of train shots, or arrange a meet
(e.g., Chicago based subscribers could meet St. Louis based SPORRS
members at Chilli, Buda, etc, etc.). Later this spring/early summer
I'll make a swing up to Savanna if anyone intrested let me know.
