The last few updates to the SPORRS page contained some really interesting
shots - Yes Dave...someone noticed that the page was updated !! :-)
I really like the foreign additions. The vertical format of the Italian
Electric photo really seemed to emphasize the train leaning into the curve
and made it a real "in your face" impact shot.
The thing that struck me about Chuck Donaldson's addition was the clarity
and sharpness of the scan. This is another example of a shot that is
enhanced by a uniform consist of cars (autoracks) just like Bill Siegel's
JAVA East BNSF shot.
Being a GE fan, I liked the MOPAC GE shot. It is probably an unusual one
since I don't think that those units wore blue paint for very long (correct
me if I'm wrong). However - to me the most interesting part of this shot
is the bridge and the ice on the river. As with others that I have
commented on in the past, I would liked to have seem much more of the
bridge and the ice-filled river instead of what is almost a roster shot of
the units.
