I had an assignment on March 14 to photograph the debut of New York &
Atlantic Railway MP15-AC #155 in its new paint scheme. The ex-LIRR unit
is now bright green with beige stripes. Inside the shop building, I
photographed the railroad's officials posed on the engine. A few more
poses were shot outdoors. As luck would have it, the weather was overcast
and a light rain began falling as soon as we rolled out the engine. I
used medium-format gear loaded with asa-400 slide and print film. We all
hopped aboard the 155 for the first run from Long Island City to Fresh
Pond Yard, a distance of a few miles. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we
parked the engine and walked back to our cars, the rain stopped and the
sun came out!

If anybody would like a complimentary print of NYA 155, just send me your
mailing address.
