You know, I'm really with John and Dave, I can't think of anywhere they
don't look good. On our sojourn to Montana last fall they looked really
great with the snowy backdrop at Two Medicine Trestle, and they certainly
look great out of Ludlow (where they really belong!) When you think about
it, that paint scheme, with relatively minor variants, has been around for
going on 60 plus years. 

Now, much as we tend to denigrate the borg, you have to give a tip of the
hat to the UP too. Their yellow, and gray has stood the test of time for
about as long equally well. It is a classy combination of colors that show
up well against almost any background, and is compatible with almost every
locomotive variation you can think of, from E's to turbines, slugs to
SD45T-2's, etc, ad infinitum.

Photographically they both are eye catching. So, what else compares?
