Since I no longer shoot B&W, I wanted to ask how you feel about B&W images that were shot as color images ? Most scanners will allow you to scan a color image in B&W. I have played around with this and found that almost all good color images with strong lighting and little shadow detail also make good B&W images. In fact, with a reasonably priced Epson Inkjet printer and some good quality glossy photo quality paper, I have produced some darn good B&W 8x10's from color slides.
