Amen Greg! I'd love it if a lot more people would open up their minds beyond
the train. My girlfriend who is also studying photography with me constantly
reminds me to take photos of objects around me while waiting for a train to
come through. Last Thursday while waiting for the UP E-units to come through
MP 103.0 on the Coast, a took a bunch of slides around the slough, the hills,
and of the many egrets that were around the slough. These will help
demonstrate why this area is so scenic, not only a place to shoot trains. If
I choose to do a show in the future, these shots will help demonstrate why
Elkhorn Slough is such a special place. Maybe something other folks may want
to think about. What makes Tehachapi special beyond the trains, or Cajon, etc.?
