In response to Greg and Denise Andersons questions about the sunset
shot of the CP Coburg Turn at Newtonville, Ontario. This shot is one
of a sequence of four taken, and no filters of any kind were used to
enhance or change the colours. It was taken of Kodachrome 64 with a
Pentax SPF, 200mm 1/250 at f5.6. The sun sets in this location right
between the rails for only about 10 days each year, and this
particular day, I was just shooting the setting sun, when the Coburg
Turn, running about 2 hours late showed up. It was even more
fortunate that the power was a C-424 sandwich (C424-GP9u-C424), as
the normal power was only 1 unit. Despite this shot being only 1/4
mile from my home, I have been unable to repeat it in all these
years, as the weather at this time of year is usually quite poor,
limiting clear sunsets to once every other week, an the normal
traffic patterns have eastbounds through in the morning.

from the Great White North, somewhere east of Toronto
