Well-l-l, I have to agree with the doubters that this is a big IF.
Although I find it hard to believe that curves, clearances and bridge
strengths would be a problem, and I would hope that the UP steam program
will get back on track once the UP gets through its current crisis, I have
to agree with most of the rest of the reasons that we'll never see a Big
Boy run under its own power. Perhaps they're just going to do the bearings
and give it a cosmetic restoration so they can push it around with a diesel
and add some special effects.
