Than Kodachrome transparencies, you may have an argument. Try scanning some E-6. That orange film base on the negative films cannot always be fully compensated for while scanning. I have scanned thousands of images from all types of films, which is why I know this. > Slides carry a huge amount of contrast (some unwanted) with them, Too general a statement. > Slides aren't the only way to put on a show. A great topic and worth doing if you have the time, but for the one-time slide shows that we tend to do with our RR shots, most think this is still overkill. We are working on something like that over here, but time is certainly a problem. I have a CD burner, and I plan to cook some CD shows, but you realize that for what we do (not repetitious presentations) that swapping out a single slide in a slide show is not an option when burned onto CD. What this may amount to is a lot of work for one show. It sounds great, but it all takes time. Still plugging away at it as technology gets better... keep in mind that a lot of the Kodachrome people that won't accept E-6 surely won't jump to digital overnight. > > Filters in Photoshop would be a good topic. :) > > That's a story for another message. If you have images to go with that, you can display them on the SPORRS Pixel Page, which has stagnated recently.
