Hey, I think I figured out what you have to do to get the Shot Of The
Month

And then attached the orange image.

Excellent shot Dave I like the color and the composition. I take it
that this was from your Jefferson City trip last weekend. I remember
you saying that you caught one of those new UP units, but you failed to
tell us that UP had altered their classing armor yellow to SPORRS's
orange. It was a smart decision on their part because it's the only
color that seems to be able to compete with the Tradition Red/Yellow and
Silver War Bonnet scheme.
I would like to know more about the film you used. I take it there
wasn't Kodak in your camera because of the lack of the greenish tint.
It looks like a graduated filter was used too.
Or perhaps you've been tweaking with your monitor settings again.....
:^]
On a more serios note I liked the shot of Rick looking into his lens
on the Ooops page. It captured the railfan side of this hobby. I hope
he was screwing on his orange filter. I tried once before to get some
some input on why this orange preference keeps sneaking into our
voting. I personally think Chuck's shot would've looked nice in B/W
based purely on the composition between train, clouds, landscape and
glint. Despite the orange I still like the CP Rail train on the s-curve
(per earlier comment).
Enough on this topic, I think I'll go fix myself a nice cold glass of
Tang and eat some cheese doodles. :^)
