Refrigerated below 55 degrees F.  I keep mine at 40 degrees F, but if you
keep it out for a month or so in your camera gear, it will suffer no
ill-effects.  It is very stable from my experience with it (roll and sheet
film too).

Let it thaw to closer to room temperature before you open the
canister/foil/box packet to avoid condensation forming on your film, but
even at 40 degree, it is ready to use fairly quickly once out of the fridge
(as long as I don't take it right from the fridge to the rain/humidity).  I
do not deep freeze mine.  I use up most of the 'warm' film that is in my
cases/packs/cameras/film holders first, before I take new stuff out of the
refrigerator, just to keep the fresh film cycling so none of it gets too
'old' here.
