WRT to the discussion of when or when not to take pictures.

I believe that in the railfan/model railroad world there are four types of
pictures...

1) pictures of models - not/applic to SPORSS?
2) ordinary pictures of trains (ie I was there, I saw this) - n/applic!!
3) detail pics - presumably for modelling - probably n/applic
4) GREAT pictures - the kind that non-railfans look at again (there was a
woman in Ontario that could never remember my name but always mentioned my
"rainbow" picture) - this is what I suspect SPORRS is about

Personally I believe that I take too many lousy pictures (type 2 above) and
not enough good ones (type 4). But that's only my own opinion. I find
that I need to take lots of pictures and study them to improve. (Something
I don't spend enough time doing.) I'm also hoping that viewing other's
efforts on SPORRS will help my own efforts.

I haven't voted mostly because I haven't had a clear favourite. It's
almost like there are too many choices. There's lots of pics that I like,
and some that I don't. But I want to thank EVERYONE for submiting their
pictures for me to view.

Steve
