Hey, I forgot,

I actually use one of those little (the small one in the 8x10 pack) Kodak
gray cards with my spot meter sometimes and it really works (helps me get
an accurate reading of light striking and reflecting off of a small place
so I can decide how to expose once I average my readings out).

I tried taking an 8x10 gray card with me to shoot trains before and it got
scuffed up, bent, ketchup on it, and ended up at about an 11 percent smudge
at the end of the day.
