I'm not going to get into which gear I go out to shoot with because it is a personal preference which will be different for each photographer, but I never go anywhere to shoot 35mm without at least two bodies, and I know where all of my local (and location) rental equipment places are so if I am doing a 6x6 or 4x5 shoot and I do not have a backup for the bad equipment, then I can run over there and get a quick replacement to finish (only happened once so far with a bad leaf shutter in a Hasselblad lens).
