SCHOOL OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Applications are invited for the appointment of a Professor and Dean of
the School of Physical Education in the Division of Sciences of the
University of Otago.  The Dean is the School’s senior academic and
administrative leader and has overall responsibility for implementing
University and Divisional policy at the School level.  She or he is
charged with ensuring that the School is committed to excellence in all
its activities and with the national and international strategic
development of the School. 
The successful appointee will have an established international research
reputation, a capacity to provide academic vision and leadership, the
ability to work with staff from diverse academic and cultural
backgrounds, and a solid track record of managing human, financial and
physical resources.  It is expected that the Dean will maintain and
foster established links with other academic units throughout the
university addressing issues of human performance, health and physical
activity.
