The Position: The College of Education and Health Professions at the
University of Arkansas, Fayetteville invites nominations and
applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant/Associate
Professor in Exercise Science in the Department of Health, Human
Performance, and Recreation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1)  Teach graduate and undergraduate classes in Exercise Science, such
as Biomechanics and ExercisePhysiology-related areas

2)  Establish a research agenda capable of securing external funding
3)  Supervise theses, dissertations, and honors projects
4)  Advise both undergraduate and graduate students

5)  Provide service to the department, college, university, community,
and profession

Required Qualifications:
1) Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in Exercise Science
or closely related field 2) Evidence of refereed publications and
presentations
3) Ability to be an effective teacher and mentor
Preferred Qualifications:
1) 2-3 years of post-doctoral experience 2) Ability to secure external
funding
Appointment and Salary: This is a 9-month, tenure-track position at the
assistant/associate professor rank. The salary will be competitive and
commensurate with experience and background. The anticipated starting
date is August 22, 2013.
