Faculty Position in Kinesiology 

DESCRIPTION: The Department of Kinesiology (http://www.twu.edu/kinesiology/) 
seeks to fill a full-time tenure track position as an assistant professor with 
expertise in Exercise Science that begins August, 2013 . 

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD or equivalent in Kinesiology or related area. Further, a 
commitment to teaching excellence in exercise science and interest and ability 
to teach undergraduate course(s) in adapted physical activity. A record of 
active membership and involvement in professional organizations, along with 
appropriate professional certifications and/or credentials such as ACSM are 
preferred. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Teaching undergraduate courses in the exercise science 
area that may include exercise physiology, scientific foundations of movement, 
and adapted physical activity, 2) teach graduate courses in an area of 
specialization; 3) maintain an active scholarship program; 4) ability to obtain 
external funding; 5) willingness to advise students, to serve on 
department/university committees, and to contribute to the diversity of the 
faculty; and 6) willingness to work on collaborative research and teaching 
projects 

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

ENVIRONMENT: Texas Woman's University occupies a notable position in higher
