Dear WG members,

In SRv6, an SR-aware service can process the SR information in the packets it
receives. [I-D.ietf-spring-sr-service-programming] defines an SRv6 Endpoint
Behavior, End.AN, for SR-aware function. But service-specific functions are not
defined.

In some scenarios such as distinguishing between tenants in data centers,
services offered by the same service nodes may differ based on the tenants.
Therefore, this draft-lin-spring-srv6-aware-context-indicator introduces the
concept of a context-indicator, which furnishes the necessary context to
SR-aware service nodes for processing packets. Specifically, context-indicator
SIDs can steer packets to a specific instance within a device, rather than
simply at the device level.

We have updated a new version. Please refer to the following link:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-lin-spring-srv6-aware-context-indicator-04

We would appreciate it if the WG could review this draft and share your
feedback, especially on the use cases and complexity. Your understanding and
support are highly valued and greatly appreciated.

Best Regards
