Dear Aydin

I never included cooling water consumption for fire diesel in water tank
capacity calculations, it is negligible in my opinion.
Cheers

Subject: Diesel Pump Cooling Water Consumption

Dear All,

To size a dedicated Fire Water Tank Capacity, on the basis of NFPA,

-Do we need to add the "Diesel Fire Pump cooling water consumption", on top of
Sprinkler+Hose demand?

- If we need to add the cooling water consumption, what can be the criteria
(Engine HP, pump capacity, etc.) to estimate the cooling water consumption, if
we want to use a generic figure, not based on a specific engine manufacturer?

Kind Rgds.
