Also, let's say that in the larger rooms with multiple pockets we can call
it obstructed construction. What about the rooms that have accordion style
seperators that when closed create a single room with one pocket and when
open would be multiple pockets and therefore then potentially obstructed
construction?

This is not only about saving sprinklers for costs sake. In some of these
areas there are so many sprinkles it is hard to get them in without being
too close together.

Greg - What's the spacing of the sides of the 'lego's'?  If they're 3' to
7.5' on-center, it likely does qualify as obstructed construction.  And if
they're not more than 22" deep (or close to that), sprinkler spacing should
be fairly simple.
