The issue here is verifying both piping integrity and ability to flow
system demand. How do you do that with air (you go for 500 cfm
instead of gpm on the most remote standpipe -lol)?

We have been asked by our local AHJ what the std. procedure and
costs are
for testing of Dry Manual Standpipes in other jurisdictions.
They would like to know the answers to the following questions:
1. Does your local fire dept. supply a engine to test dry manual
standpipes?
2. or does a local contractor supply a pump with similar supply
curve?
3. If local FDP supplies engine do they charge for its use?
4. How much do they charge?
5. Does the local FDP have a std. Wavier you sign before they test
any
standpipe using their pumper?
6. Any other std practices your local AHJ's use in testing Dry Manual
standpipes?
Thanks for any help
