No hose requirement for NFPA 13R, but there is a fire flow demand in the IFC in B.105.2 and Table B.105.1 (Outside hose allowance so to speak, may require additional fire Hydrants) Additionally you may require a standpipe in some 13R occupancy's, if it is Automatic wet then you have an interior hose allowance, especially if you have a combination standpipe.

Subject: Hose allowance on 13-R systems

Is there a requirement in 13-R for any allowance for hose? If so, how much, and where is it printed? Do requirements of NFPA-13 such as allowance for hose streams apply to 13-R and 13-D systems, when nothing to the contrary is written in the 13-R and 13-D standards?
