Hello all, To put fuel on a fire so to say.... The Electrician had disconnected the air compressor on Friday for this dry system to install a proper Disconnect (I raised hades about the "light Switch"). Well our crew had left for the day and the electrician did not finish the disconnect..... We had a 2" tri seal coupling that was installed wrong on a line feeding 4 heads. The air in the system leaked down, The system went wet, Leaked/Sprayed water in a nice 1/8" stream onto the wall about 8" away, Water ran down the wall, Through the Fire Panel that had been certified on Thursday. Alas the panel was not monitored yet, Building was not occupied yet, Alarm panel went into alarm until it drown, Then it went into a "Release the electronic chip smoke" mode. I got a call on Sunday from the GC that went down to do some paperwork the electrical room was flooded. There had been about 900 gallons of water through the meter on the back flow preventer since the alarm certification was finished on Thursday. It was all "our" fault since we had a minor leak in the system. Yes the Alarm company was a sub of the electrician.
