Aren't glass bulb sprinklers typical when sprinklers are used to protect food processing/cooking? I do recall before Tyco voluntary decided to no longer claim the listing the only head listed for use over cooking oil/grease in depth was the Grinnell EA1 1/4" orifice which was/is a glass-bulb head. I've been told there is a new head listed for cooking oil/grease in depth but I haven't been able to find such an animal. I have two new chrome by 500 degree EA1 1/4" heads manufactured before the listing was pulled in October of 1997. The head is still manufactured, as it always has been, as a directional spray head, but is no longer listed for cooking oil/grease in depth.
