Do they have period smoke detectors? Unless it is in a public place,
their argument doesn't hold. I told one client that if their dry
valve was a person, it would be eligible for a colonoscopy and the
gaskets may not be able to handle the prep. They put in a new Vic low
pressure DPV. There are probably some old time contractors,
especially in this part of the world, that would have that. If you
don't get something, let me know and I'll hit up some of my sources

Hello sprinklerforum,
Does anybody have any suggestions to keep a Still functional:
Grinnell Model E2 Dry Valve made back in 1946 in service?
Can anybody point me to a place to get a service manual for this
valve older than I am?
It is in a historical building in the area and they would like to
keep it "For the character of the building" from that period.
