Suggest C-900 PVC pipe, CL 150 or 200. Ductile iron push-on or MJ fittings, with SS hardware that in turn is coated with non-oxide grease. ALL ferrous joints then enveloped with seamless polyethylene sleeves and heavily taped at each end. 75 years? Who knows, but we've had success with these practices with very hot soils in SoCal, in areas that were experiencing blowouts from corrosion.
