I was in a class at the convention on this topic. It was done by Steve
Scandialato (sp?) and although LEED doesn’t offer points he gave a strong
argument on how to present many items relating to fire sprinkler. It was my
understanding that he is having success in getting fire sprinkler related
issues added to the LEED book on a job by job basis. He has studied this issue
is using it as a negotiating tool on design build projects. Oh and by the way
this was the first Saturday morning class I have ever attended.....No golf
tourney in DC :)
