Seems like a couple inspection deficiencies exist. The concern of Mr.
Hudnall over the presence of a Wet System in an area subject to freezing is
one. And another is the fact that the alarms did not operate, forcing an
evacuation of facility, as he stated "it would have no impact on classes."
But thank goodness the ceiling tiles were in stock..

Here's an interesting bit of news from Provo, Utah. Seems that Mr.
Hudnal, in addition to his duties as a director of student services, has
extensive background in the activation of fire sprinklers. Perhaps we
should have him come lecture us.

I think it would educational, to say the least. I didn't know that
sprinklers could simply "pop off the mechanism", that's news to me.

Daily Herald
*WATER LEAK *-- Firefighters were called to Centennial Middle School in
Provo on Sunday afternoon after a fire sprinkler broke and spilled water
into the school hallways. Firefighters reported that the incident
occurred at about 1 p.m. and several hundred gallons may have leaked
into the school. Firefighters initially estimated several thousand
dollars in damage to ceiling tiles, carpeting and wiring, but school
officials say most property avoided extensive damage. Greg Hudnall,
director of student services for the district, said crews were able to
clean and dry the damaged carpet in the affected classrooms and hallway.
Ceiling tiles were destroyed, but the school had the replacement
supplies in stock and no electrical work was damaged. Hudnall said the
sprinkler head simply popped off the mechanism, and the pipes were not
frozen. Approximately 2,000 square feet were affected by the water, but
Hudnall said it would have no impact on classes.
