A question came up regarding when a domestic demand is taken on an
NFPA 13R system. Normally you would if the sprinkler and domestic
split inside the building and you would not when separate feeds come
off the public main. However, when a private main comes off the
public and splits outside the building; the sprinkler feed goes to
one area and the domestic comes in at another, would you still
consider a domestic demand? What if feeds to other structures come
off that main, do you include domestic demand for those as well?
