Does the bituminous coating requirement apply to the entire length of the piping or does it apply only to the bolts and joints? The handbook provides some explanation, but it is vauge. The pipe manufacturers that I have contacted have indicated that coating for "externally" galvanized piping is not necessary. They state that the coating should be applied to only the bolts and joints and the entire piping should be poly-wrapped. Any opinions? rick matsuda city of dallas, building inspection dept. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
