I sprayed the trim while we were up at 200 last summer, clapper up w/2x4, ball drip removed. No bubbles. We did change the end of line last summer because the old one was hissing from the packing. It's a TestNDrain, not that we needed all that but it's accessible in the attic and connects to about 40' of galvy that runs down the outside of the building to a 45 plugged. I sprayed the air line and fittings too and found nada BUT there seems to be a slight leak into the intermediate chamber because both times we got there, the drip cup was wet so maybe it's leaking back against the water (wata)? That could make sense. Problem is it's 4" threaded out of the room, above ceilings and inside walls until we see it in the attic. Another problem is the old guy who was in charge retired and passed away a couple of years before we got there and the new woman just isn't all that knowledgeable. My thinking was (and not my proudest moment), if I decrease the air pressure the leak will slow down. You'd think (at least I do) that 40 years of 3 year trips, accidental trips, and all that that the water would rust up these old fittings. They have records back 20 years anyway. Maybe I'll offer to go and flood it and spray the heads? We only walked (well, crawled) the system when it was under 200, maybe I out to bring the gas piping leak spray up to the attic. Maybe it is a whole lotta small ones?
