Charles - worked a job once where the controller was in a pit that flooded
before the real sump was installed. The controller people recommended a
tech that came out and went completely through the controller, ordered all
compromised parts, installed them, and everything worked fine. A lot
cheaper than buying all new - but you should make sure where the liability
rests should anything ever go wrong.

good luck,
Garth
