Then there is a further subset of Listed indicating valves. A ball valve may very well indicate its position but I don't think they are any Listed as a fire sprinkler control valve. I think the 5 second rule is what eliminates them from the Listed variety of a generic indicating valve. So pay attention to the purpose of the valve and whether it needs to be Listed or not.
